Dimplex Cassette 1000 Multicolor R PS — colour flames made of cold mist
A 1017 mm cassette for building into a recess, surround or furniture. Opti-Myst technology turns ordinary water into a fine cold mist lit by multicolour LEDs, creating a three-dimensional flame with gentle smoke that looks real from every angle. The R version runs from a built-in water tank, so no plumbing is needed — just a power socket. The PS version has no logs — a clean flame line in the style of a bioethanol fire.
What makes it special
- Colour flames. 5 preset colours plus Prism mode with smooth colour cycling. Create your own combinations in the Flame Connect app.
- Lifelike fire. 6 brightness levels and 6 mist intensity levels.
- Crackling logs. 6 sound levels, switched on from the remote.
- 360° view. the flame looks three-dimensional from anywhere in the room.
- Modular. connect it with other Cassette 500 and 1000 units to build a flame line of any length.
- No plumbing needed. the built-in tank gives 8–10 hours of operation; all you need is a socket.
How it works
An ultrasonic transducer breaks water into micro-droplets. The cold mist rises above the fuel bed and is lit from below by LEDs, producing moving flames and soft smoke. The mist is not hot: it is safe to touch, leaves no soot and adds a little humidity to the room.
Installation and care
The cassette fits into a frame or surround made of any material; height is set with adjustable feet. The control panel is hidden, and both a Bluetooth remote and a wired remote are included. See the manufacturer's manual for installation dimensions.
A full tank gives 8–10 hours of operation, after which it is topped up by hand. If you need continuous operation, look at the P version with a mains water connection.
