Dimplex Cassette 400 LED — a compact cassette with sound and a weekly timer
A 407 mm built-in cassette with free-floating Opti-Myst flames and smoke. Its modest size and adjustable intensity make it a great fit for furniture and design projects. No logs — bioethanol-style look.
What makes it special
- Energy-saving LEDs. LEDs instead of halogen lamps cut power use and last longer.
- Crackling logs. crackling sound with 6 volume levels.
- 6 flame levels. mist intensity adjustable from the remote.
- Timers. the remote sets a 24-hour or weekly timer and shows the date and time.
- Long run time. one tank lasts about 8–10 hours.
How it works
An ultrasonic transducer breaks water into micro-droplets. The cold mist rises above the fuel bed and is lit from below by LEDs, producing moving flames and soft smoke. The mist is not hot: it is safe to touch, leaves no soot and adds a little humidity to the room.
Installation and care
The fire is easy to build into furniture, a worktop, cabinet or recess: it only needs a 230 V connection. The control panel is hidden and the fire is operated by remote. Cut-out size: 401×171×214 mm.
Water is topped up by hand. Use the water type recommended in the manufacturer's manual.
