Dimplex Cassette 400 — a compact Opti-Myst firebox for a surround or recess
A 405 mm built-in firebox with logs and lifelike Opti-Myst flames. Install it in a surround or recess, clad it in brick or build it into any design structure. Purely atmospheric — no heater.
What makes it special
- Opti-Myst effect. flames and smoke over the logs with adjustable intensity.
- Design freedom. suits surrounds, recesses, brickwork and custom builds.
- Hidden controls. operated by remote; the control panel stays out of sight.
- Optional Wi-Fi. smartphone control is available as an option.
- No heater. use it all year round.
How it works
An ultrasonic transducer breaks water into micro-droplets. The cold mist rises above the fuel bed and is lit from below by LEDs, producing moving flames and soft smoke. The mist is not hot: it is safe to touch, leaves no soot and adds a little humidity to the room.
Installation and care
The firebox is installed in a surround or recess, plugged into a 230 V socket and the tank is filled by hand. See the manufacturer's manual for installation dimensions.
