Dimplex Opti-myst Danville Antique Brass Steam Fireplace

Dimplex Danville Antique Brass — a classic Opti-Myst firebox with heater

A compact classic firebox (20" diagonal) with smouldering logs and Opti-Myst smoke. The trim is antique brass; the Danville series also comes in black, brass, antique brass and chrome. The built-in 1–2 kW heater warms rooms up to 20 m².

What makes it special

• Opti-Myst effect. flames and smoke with adjustable intensity.
• Smouldering logs. realistic logs with a glowing ember effect.
• 1–2 kW heater. a two-stage heater with thermostat warms rooms up to 20 m².
• Flame without heat. run the flame effect without heat all year round.
• Remote control. control flame and heat from your seat.
• Optional Wi-Fi. smartphone control is available as an option.

How it works

An ultrasonic transducer breaks water into micro-droplets. The cold mist rises above the fuel bed and is lit from below by LEDs, producing moving flames and soft smoke. The mist is not hot: it is safe to touch, leaves no soot and adds a little humidity to the room. The heater works independently of the flame effect, so in summer you can run the fire purely for atmosphere and in winter for warmth as well.

Installation and care

The firebox is built into a surround or recess and plugged into a 230 V socket. The water tank is filled by hand; use the water type recommended by the manufacturer. See the manual for installation dimensions.
