Dimplex Opti-myst Albany Multi Steam Fireplace

Dimplex Albany Multi — a steam fire with colour flames, heater and timer

A versatile built-in fire for furniture or a recess — it complements a minimalist interior or adds a modern accent to a classic one. The colour-lit Optimyst flame runs silently and independently of the 1620 W heater.

What makes it special

• Colour flames. 5 colours plus a cycling mode, controlled by remote and the Flame Connect app.
• Sound and glow. redesigned logs with glowing embers and crackling sound.
• 1620 W heater. with thermostat and switch-off timer.
• 8–10 hour tank. filled via a pull-out drawer.
• Efficient. only 0.45 W in standby.
• Flame without heat. run the flame effect without heat all year round.

How it works

An ultrasonic transducer breaks water into micro-droplets. The cold mist rises above the fuel bed and is lit from below by LEDs, producing moving flames and soft smoke. The mist is not hot: it is safe to touch, leaves no soot and adds a little humidity to the room. The heater works independently of the flame effect, so in summer you can run the fire purely for atmosphere and in winter for warmth as well.

Installation and care

The firebox is built into a surround or recess and plugged into a 230 V socket. The water tank is filled by hand; use the water type recommended by the manufacturer. See the manual for installation dimensions.
